GOLD Coast City Council finance boss Eddy Sarroff has bitten the bullet and pushed for roundtable discussions with the construction and property industry to thrash out solutions to crippling infrastructure charges. The move comes on the eve of the Federal Government’s wind-back of the first-home owner boost, which has kept the Gold Coast’s residential market afloat, and another planned increase in infrastructure charges for city development.

Even though it is a bad economy there are people buying houses everyday. People sometimes overlook the roof and they don’t bother to check it as long as the interior of the house is nice.  This is a bad thing to do.Because more expenses will come to you if the roof of the house that you just bought is damaged and already needs to be replaced.  So make sure that that area gets inspected by a roof inspector when you are purchasing a house.  Not just any inspector.But an inspector who has knowledge about roofs.

Well, some time ago, I offered that in discussions with American protestants about celibacy, monasticism, and asceticism might be best approached if they first start Scripture. Last night, I finished assembling the waterblock for the new server in my basement. Since I’m new to this watercooling stuff, I decided that a design where the fluid path through the server has no potentially leaky fittings along it would be a good starting place. I made the waterblock from two chunks of 6061 aluminum, with a loop of copper tube sandwiched in the middle. I milled a semi-cylindrical groove in each plate of aluminum with a ball-end mill, and added relief on one side to allow space for a 180 bend in the tube.

Well, our much awaited reunion took place last night at 9:45pm at the airport. Qiyao was overwhelmed at seeing us all. He backed away from us, and would not hold Will’s hand. We told the kids to give him some room. As soon as Will left to grab a baggage cart, Qiyao was looking everywhere trying to find him. When Will got back into Qiyao’s site, he immediately seemed to relax. Fanhua was streatching on tiptoes to see over a plywood barrier. There is some contruction going on at the Lexington airport.

it’s almost 4 in the morning! i stayed up because i was determined to finish my evo psych presentation tonight. ok more like i was disgusted with myself after dragging it out all weekend (and accomplishing nth). still not great, but maybe inspiration will strike later on in the week. been a while since i stayed up so late..ever since there was no more cheer, staying at home ensured that i slept at more earthly hours. i’ve almost forgotten i had ever bathed at 3am or collected my laundry at 5am or stayed up all night studying with mc.

My mother called one of her dearest friends, a flower afficianado, and asked her the identity of our mystery plant .  My mother had opined that it is a spider lily, but her friend said it is a surprise lily.  Hmm.  We got home, and Steady Eddie Googled Swagbucked surprise lily, and he finally concluded that what we have is indeed a Red Spider lily .  Mother was right!  I thought it was interesting to note these details from the link above:  Some say that the flowers bloom two weeks after the first good fall rain.

I went to the First Annual Capitals Convention expecting like a Comic Con atmosphere, just with Caps fans.  There were a lot of people and I didn’t what to expect since this was the first one and only the Blackhawks and Cubs fans know about this, but from the looks of it…we might another one next year, and then the next, and more.  Here are my observations from the Convention: I had to take the Metro and Metrobus and it wasn’t that bad.  It took one hour from the Vienna Metro Station to Branch Avenue and 15 minutes from Branch Ave.
