Flightless bird… Hello! It has been quite some time. I’ve decided to return to the blog world of Citizen Wausau, but I have changed the title of the blog to get a bit of a fresh start. I think I’d rather rename this and write again like it’s new rather than try to pick up where I left off before. I went to the soiree (fancy, right?) tonight at Malarkey’s. I wasn’t there too terribly long, but I got to meet a couple of people whom I knew of primarily because of this site/Andy Laub.

I don’t actually own any records anymore, but this Star Trek Enterprise Record Player makes me want to buy some, Unfortunately the Star Trek Enterprise Record Player is just a design, and not a real turntable, which is a shame because I would definitely buy one of these. FootworKINGz really came to play this week. Their moves were great and their outifts were cool too. Normally I’m not a huge fan of dance groups, but they were solid after being asked back. They brought a lot of energy, but the amount of dance acts dilutes their attraction. Marcus Terrell & the Serenades – Replacing his backup singers helped a lot. Instead of his solid lead voice being “complimented” by lousy singers, the new ones really accentuated his performance. He’s good, not great.

so i come home from maureen’s house after cheska/ian/gabrielle’s graduation party to find my mom freaking out about something in the backyard that is trying to attack jolo. i looked outside and it was nowhere to be found and everytime i checked up on jolo, he seemed perfectly fine. so we decided to just call animal control in the morning when i specifically told my mom that we should do it that same night. i wake up in the morning to find jolo cowering in the corner, hanging on for dear life with a missing wing and blood dripping all over his cage and the floor.

Noah and I are having a massively productive couple of days!  Yesterday was primarily devoted to Max’s vet appointments but we also managed to: get to two pharmacies (one for Max’s prescriptions and one for our own got the shopping done cleaned up the office straightened the kitchen (which, if you are my family, you know it gets to be a MESS — not with food things but just with things since it’s the entry to the house) and… I know we did more in the afternoon but I can’t think of it right now.

Danny O’Neil reported Wednesday that Jones is to undergo surgery is on his left knee Thursday morning. This is coming after the starting left tackle had microfracture surgery in December. Trufant has been out all preseason with a back injury. O’Neil reported that Trufant’s injury involves a disk in his back.

As usual, I had to find my next door after I left the office at 16.00. I knew where to go this time. I knew there would be cool doors at Kampen (area in east Oslo). I saw several when I walked to the bus after I had lunch with Ellen on sunday. So, I walked around the streets of Kampen and took quite some pictures. I found several doors which I shot. I even found some numbers, which I will be using in my numbers-project. It’s not easy to find nice numbers I have to say.

I redesigned my lounge last year and is part of it I decided I really wanted to change the whole look, and that included fitting new flooring. It is with great pleasure that I have to tell you that my Son Matt and his cousin Brad are both off to University in just a few weeks. Reflective Essay Since I have read Infinite Jest once fully, and also a second glossing, it is rather difficult to remember when sections had the biggest impact on me. Often times, a section I read the first time through made no sense to me; however, upon a second reading, things seemed to jump off the page a little more. In the end, the sections that really affected me were the ones that showed my own prejudices toward postmodern literature and how I could learn to appreciate it in spite of all this.

One of the keys to frugal, healthy(er), stress-free eating is menu planning.  We live 16 miles from the nearest grocery store and fast food, and I’m okay with that.  The costs and inconvenience of driving to town encourages me to better plan for and prepare our meals at home. I’m a major meal experimenter.  I love to try out new recipes on my family, based on items I find on sale or those that are growing in our backyard.  And since I’ve been reading blogs… wow; so many wonderful recipes posted everywhere, I can’t keep up!

Well here comes a large Province  post again. The biggest story of the day… the Liberal’s raising the limit on the BCLC Play Now website. This isn’t some pithy raise of a hundred bucks or so. No no, this is an 8000 percent raise. The previous limit was $120 per week. The new limit; $10 000 per week. The best part about Michael Smyth’s fabulously written column, the photo of Rich Coleman on the front and Smyth calling Coleman on his sell-out. Coleman was adamantly opposed to online gambling, much less raising the limit.
