It is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. On my recent visit to Pigeon Forge with Jacob and Amber, this restaurant was a must for at least one of our meals. The week had gone by rather quickly and we had not made it there to eat. The morning we were to come home, I thought, it is now or never. We quickly decided to eat breakfast there.

The manager of an assisted living facility accused of stealing the residents’ medications and replacing them with over the county medications pled not guilty today in court. The manager was arrested by narcotics investigators with the sheriff’s office and charged with six felony counts of cruelty to a person 65 or older and counts of theft. Additionally, the man was charged with felony possession of narcotics. A family member was concerned with possible nursing home abuse and contacted the sheriff’s office.

Long time ago a guy from Taiwan contacted me to say he was coming to London and asked me if I wanted to meet. We chatted and finally agreed to. He finally came last week and we agreed to meet one evening. But last minute he told me he was with his straight friend who didn’t know he was gay and asked me to stay around for a bit while he was getting rid of him. Since I was in Soho already I went into Cafe Nero to have a coffee and chat a bit… I was quite entertained, at some point I was having 5 conversations with different people on messenger so I had no chance to get bored.

Ray and I have a very long driveway.  It’s kind of curvy so when you get home, the mesquite trees close up in your rear-view mirror sealing off your frazzled memories of the the workday. When you drive up closer to the house,  the driveway gets very wide.  It’s a big open space with no character.  We decided that an island in the driveway would be a nice feature for the approach to the house as well as something to see from the inside.

As an information worker, I’m trapped behind a computer or desk for hours at a time. I like news, I like news sites. I like to read them. I’m a captive audience. I’m your target audience. Unlike most Americans though, I know the difference between articles, columns and editorials.

I’ve been busy on the home front lately with the kitchen renovations. Things have been going well here as far as getting projects done and our photography business. This week we booked two weddings for next year which is very exciting. We also had an e-shoot in Central Park NY with Nicole and Michael. It was quite hot out for the day of the shoot but at least it wasn’t raining. It went well and the pictures will be up soon. I’ve also managed to create a facebook page and a twitter account.

Last week I was feeling like a failure, our grass died, our flower garden was a bunch of dying tulip leaves and it seemed that the only thing our vegetable garden could grow was zucchini – I love zucchini but I was hoping for more variety. Well this weekend we dug up the potato plant and found that we had potatoes and today I noticed that some of our tomatoes are turning red! We ate the potatoes yesterday and now I’m excited for tomatoes – I’m going to make myself a tomato and cheese sandwich with the first tomato I pick! The potatoes are small but it’s something! We are pulling out all the leaves in the flower garden and will plant new flowers.

Been a good few days back at work, surprisingly good actually. My day one morning blues kinda dissipated very quickly and I’m back on track. Tonight, Leeann’s out at work and I defrosted a curry that I had in the freezer, added a few courgettes and cauliflower to bulk up the dish.

I’m pretty sure that ever since I’ve known Reid, he’s mentioned wanting to climb the Grand Tetons. It started out as a “That would be so incredible, but I could never do it.” Then, the Discovery Channel aired two seasons of Everest: Beyond the Limit , documenting the “two-month expedition from start to finish, highlighting the struggles, highs, lows and triumphs as people from around the world attempt to reach the world’s tallest peak.” It’s extremely fascinating and added to Reid’s climbing fever.

Last night Robot Johnson had it’s first night of rehearsal for The Best of ‘09 – Part Two. Things were looking sweet. This morning however, we learned that The Nook has shut it’s doors. The locks were changed, and all the employees who worked there have lost their jobs. They were very good to us, and we wish them well. We’d also like to thank CCT, the Improv Group, and Keli Semelsberg for allowing us the time to become, you know… funny. Good comedy takes time, and that’s what these last two years have been for Robot Johnson.

There were no cold feet for this adventuresome couple!  After a sweet first look at the downtown Westin Hotel , it was off to the Olympic Sculpture Park to strike some poses for photographers Toni and Mya to capture.  The intimate ceremony was held at Fare Start , during which the couple’s rings were passed around to all in attendance for a special blessing.  Many guests attended from Jessica’s home state of Wisconsin, and good friend Jenn, who is too pregnant to travel, Skyped in from California.

Usually only when he’s sleeping in my bed or in the recliner with me which keeps me partially awake. Thats teh only way he’ll stay asleep and it’s usually me who wakes him up after a couple of hours to try to put him in his crib or bassinet. Today I am shakey and a little nauseated.
