Listen: Take me away: A secret place. A sweet escape: Take me away. Take me away to better days. Take me away: A higher place There’s a place that I go, But nobody knows. Where the rivers flow, And I call it home. And there’s no more lies. In the darkness, there’s light. And nobody cries. There’s only butterflies.

This trail is probably my favorite. Not because it is well groomed, or because it is wide, safe, and offers lots of friendly passers by. Nope, because it 1) is the closest to my house (I can even walk to it); and 2) it offers access to many facilities: Lake Wilderness and it’s lodge, the Lake Wilderness Arboretum , the Maple Valley Community Center , Lake Wilderness Elementary , and even close access to QFC, BOFA, and some small restaurants.

It was a tough night ladies and gentlemen. It began at happy hour, and went straight through who the fuck knows. This wouldn’t have been a big deal five years ago, but my memory is slipping these days, and my benders take that much more out of me. I didn’t have to review this show – so I didn’t take notes – but here’s why I scraped up off the membrane. 5 – I was hanging with Marty beforehand, and he got me way more stoned than I usually get while drinking.

Tom Brady is the cover guy for the September 2009 issue of Details magazine. Inside the issue he talks about being a father to, John Edward , marriage and family. Here are the highlights : On life and having a child out of wedlock : “That’s not how you envisioned your life, that’s not how you envisioned having children, but it happens. Life is not living in the suburbs with a white picket fence. That’s not life. Somehow our American culture has made it out that that’s what life needs to be—and that if it’s not that, it’s all screwed up.

I love new seasons – I adore change! We tend to have a few “fresh starts” each year in our home education — a Fall quarter, a Beginning-of-the-year quarter, and a late Spring/Summer quarter. I like to plan only a few months in advance, concentrating on what is important right now and knowing we can change our focus a little as needed in the future.

Baldwin County MLS* Observations for the month of July 2009: Real Estate Statistics for the Baldwin County, Alabama Coastal Areas: Sales in July declined by 14% to $74,224,644 from June’s $85,996,827 (Sect A p.2). We had previously seen five months of increasing activity, a sign of a bottom. Since this pattern of increases and this month’s decline is largely seasonal, it is certainly too early to declare a bottom, but there are signs.

Scott and I have an alarm system at our home in MA, so when we moved down to St. Thomas we figured we’d get one there as well. As we went through the process of choosing an alarm company we realized the glaring difference between Home Security in the states and on the island: police response. I’m sure everyone has done it at least once, tripped your own house alarm. Not only is that fun for you – it’s fun for the neighbors! No really…especially when it’s early/late in the morning/night.

This weekend we took a road trip to the Madison-Bouckville Antiques Show (a 5 hour drive from us!). Located along Route 20 in the antiques-rich community of Bouckville, New York, the fair is mid-way between Syracuse and Utica. Over 1,000 dealers from across the United States and Canada participate in this annual event the third weekend in August. We’d never visited this show before, but we’re so glad we did. Aside from the balmy 90 degree temperature, we had a wonderful day–this part of New York State is absolutely beautiful.

DNA Shows Man Is Not Long-Lost Boy John Barnes and the missing Stephen Damman DNA testing confirmed that a Michigan man is not a toddler kidnapped on New York’s Long Island in 1955, the FBI said Thursday, closing a chapter in a bizarre mystery that started after the man began researching his roots on the Internet. The FBI said in a statement that a test showed John Barnes, an unemployed man in his 50s who lives in a trailer in northwest Michigan, is not Stephen Damman, who disappeared at age 2 from outside an East Meadow bakery while his mother shopped.

http://www.newsweek.com/id/209164 Terisa Greenan and her boyfriend, Matt, are enjoying a rare day of Seattle sun, sharing a beet carpaccio on the patio of a local restaurant. Matt holds Terisa’s hand, as his 6-year-old son squeezes in between the couple to give Terisa a kiss. His mother, Vera, looks over and smiles; she’s there with her boyfriend, Larry. Suddenly it starts to rain, and the group must move inside. In the process, they rearrange themselves: Matt’s hand touches Vera’s leg.

Can someone please explain the reasoning and logic behind the idea of inviting an animal to live in one’s home? Let me get this straight – millions of human beings have animals living in their homes – animals who will willfully destroy said humans’ property, who shit, piss, puke and sleep all over said humans’ flooring. Dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, rats, snakes, lizards – you name it. I just don’t get it.

It just poured down rain last night. After I got back from the wedding I shot, we were on the patio but had to move to the deck for the evening’s birthday party with friends. It rained all night, really hard at times with lots of lightening and thunder. This morning it didn’t look like much of a day for a bike ride but it finally stopped and the roads dried up, so I went out and had a great ride. Average speed is coming up. Oh yeah, as soon as I got home and was picking tomatoes in the garden, it started raining again! Good timing.

Thanks to Bron at BigBrotherLittleSister, I recently found out about this great idea set up by the Canadian blogger at Serendipity . The idea is to share a children’s book every Monday. I am not going to promise to remember every Monday, but will do my best! I’ve found it too hard to choose just one book to start off, so decided to go with a theme – being ‘WOMBATS AND POSSUMS’. First up is ‘Possum in the House’ by Kiersten Jensen, illustrated by Tony Oliver.

My kids love cookies. Actually, mom likes cookies too; she just doesn’t like all the work that is involved with making them. However, Pillsbury has once again come to my rescue with their new line of cookies. My family and I tried them last night, and I have one word for you: Yum. Seriously yum. I like quick and easy, and these refrigerated cookies were just that. You literally open the bag, stick them in the oven, and 12 minutes later you have your cookie goodness. It is that easy.

Left home clutching the bit of paper with directions , times of train and bus numbers, only I’d written down the wrong bus number and ended up in Norrtälje , which is about 30 kilometres from where I was supposed to be. Bus numbers and directions were given me over the phone and mistake was made because ” seven- six” sounds very much like ” 26″ in Swedish. Ah well … my friends came to pick me up and a good half hour’s wait and then another half hour later we finally got to our destination and had a great time out at their new house in the country.

Our series now brings us to 10:9 in the Qur’an: Those who believe, and work righteousness,- their Lord will guide them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss. The preceding verses have stressed that Allah made the sun and the moon and the consequent ability to measure time. Given this, if people spurn Allah because of their satisfaction with what this world has to offer, then their eternal home will be the Fire of Hell.

But in the last year or so they appear to have been sent en masse to charm school. Smiles, friendliness and even helpfulness has replaced the dead-pan obstructiveness. Economic weakness threatens the chances of many Americans to become homeowners and so threatens the nation’s ability to thrive as a nation. Keen to help, the federal government offers the First Time Home Buyer Stimulus Package. It targets first time buyers and those who have not owned a home in three or more years. Purchases under this program are of pre-owned homes and homes in the new construction phase, stimulating demand in the housing market.

Credit crisis : a panic-driven large withdrawal of credit from all sections of society despairingly short of it by banks that have formerly been engaged in an orgy of unsustainable, irresponsible lending of fictitious money in enormous amounts principally to folks who any fool could see had no way of repaying it.
